Deleting your CareDose account

You can delete your CareDose account and its data from inside the app, without asking us and without waiting for a reply.

In the app

1. Open Settings (the gear in the top corner of the home screen).
2. Scroll to the bottom, past Sign out.
3. Tap Delete account and confirm.

For your own protection, if you last signed in a while ago the app will ask you to sign out and sign back in before it will delete anything. Deletion runs immediately once confirmed, and it cannot be undone.

What is erased

• Your medications, their schedules and their stock counts
• Every dose you have logged, and the activity log behind it
• Your appointments and their reminders
• Your stock and refill events
• Your registered devices and their push notification tokens
• Your alerts and notification history
• Your care connections — the links to anyone following you, and to anyone you follow
• Your plan, your seat in anyone else’s plan, and your subscription entitlement record
• Your subscriber record at RevenueCat
• Your login itself, so the email address or Apple or Google account can be used to sign up again from scratch

Once the login is gone, nothing in CareDose points at you.

What is not erased, and why

• Your subscription. Deleting the account does not cancel an App Store subscription. Apple owns that billing relationship — cancel it in your App Store account settings, before or after deleting, or you will keep being charged.
• Other people’s records. If you were following someone else as a caregiver, their own medications and dose history belong to them and stay with them. Your access ends.
• Analytics already collected. The usage and crash events described in the Privacy Policy are tied to a random install identifier, not to your account. Deleting the account mints a new identifier, so nothing recorded afterwards joins the old one. To have the earlier records removed as well, email us.
• Backups and legal records. Copies may persist for a limited time in provider backups, and some records may be kept where the law requires it — for example, for tax or subscription accounting.

If you cannot reach the app

Email caredose@pablogamero.com from the address on the account, say that you want the account deleted, and we will process it. Expect a reply within two to three business days.
