Privacy Policy
CareDose is operated by Pablo Gamero. This Privacy Policy explains how CareDose collects, uses, stores, shares, and protects information when you use the CareDose iOS app and related services. Contact us at caredose@pablogamero.com.
Information we collect
We collect information you provide or generate while using CareDose, including account email and display name; medication names, schedules, dose amounts, dose logs, appointments, adherence history, notes, and other health-related information you choose to enter; caregiver sharing invitations and sharing status; device push tokens used to deliver notifications; device locale and basic app settings; subscription status and entitlement information; and basic diagnostic and usage data used to operate, secure, and improve the service.
Sensitive health information
Medication, appointment, dose, and adherence data can be sensitive health information. CareDose uses this information only to provide the service, including reminders, logging, adherence history, sharing, alerts, and support. We do not sell medication data and do not use it for advertising or cross-app tracking.
How we use information
We use information to create and manage your account, store your medication and appointment schedule, send push reminders, record dose history, calculate adherence summaries, deliver caregiver notifications, manage subscriptions and plan access, provide customer support, troubleshoot issues, detect abuse, maintain security, and comply with legal obligations.
Caregiver sharing
Caregiver sharing is optional, user-initiated, and revocable. When you invite a family member or caregiver, that invited person may be able to view your medication schedule, appointments, adherence history, and taken or missed dose activity, and may receive alerts about missed doses or other shared events. Remove access in the app when you no longer want a caregiver to see this information.
Processors and sub-processors
CareDose uses third-party service providers to operate the app. These providers may process or store information on our behalf:
- Google Firebase: Authentication for account sign-in, Firestore database for schedule and app data storage, and Cloud Messaging for push notification delivery.
- RevenueCat: subscription management, entitlement status, and paid plan access.
- Cloudflare: notification delivery worker and related service delivery infrastructure.
These providers process data under their own security and privacy programs and may process or store data in countries outside your country of residence.
Legal bases for processing
If you are in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or a similar jurisdiction, Pablo Gamero is the data controller for personal information processed by CareDose. We process information when necessary to perform our contract with you, with your consent where required, to comply with legal obligations, and for legitimate interests such as app security, support, diagnostics, and service improvement. You may withdraw consent where processing depends on consent.
Your rights and choices
Depending on your location, including under GDPR or CCPA/CPRA-style laws, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, export, restrict, or object to processing of your personal information. You may also have the right to withdraw consent or appeal a decision. Contact caredose@pablogamero.com. We do not sell personal information or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Data retention and deletion
We keep information for as long as needed to provide CareDose, maintain your account, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. To delete your account and associated data, contact caredose@pablogamero.com and we will process the request. You may also contact us to request access or export. Some records may be retained for a limited time where required by law, fraud prevention, security, backups, or subscription accounting.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. You are responsible for keeping your device and account credentials secure and for choosing trusted caregivers when sharing data.
International transfers
CareDose and its providers may process and store information in the United States, the European Union, and other countries. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for international transfers, such as contractual protections or other lawful transfer mechanisms.
Children
CareDose is not directed to children under 13. In the EEA, CareDose is not directed to children under 16. Do not use CareDose for a child unless you are legally authorized to provide and manage that information. If you believe a child has provided information without appropriate permission, contact us.
Medical disclaimer
CareDose is not a medical device, does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent disease, and does not provide medical advice. CareDose reminders, logs, adherence summaries, and caregiver alerts may be delayed, incomplete, inaccurate, or unavailable. Always consult qualified healthcare professionals about medications, dosing, side effects, missed doses, and treatment decisions.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If changes are material, we will provide notice as required by law, such as through the app, website, or email. The effective date above shows when this policy was last updated.
