Where they differ
| Category | CareDose | Dosecast |
|---|---|---|
| Best for | A calm daily medication routine, with someone you trust following along if you want. | Complex or unusual schedules that need precise rules. |
| Price | Free for your own medication, with no medication limit, and the free plan never expires. Sharing is a paid seat for each person. | Free edition for reminders; Pro, with a 7-day trial, adds sync, dose history and refill alerts. |
| Caregiver sharing | Invite code or QR. The person you choose sees your doses, missed reminders and low stock on their own phone. Revoke at any time. | Pro can assign medications to different people on one device; it is not built around a remote caregiver. |
| Refills and appointments | A stock count that drops as you log, with a low-stock level per medication. Appointments in the same calendar as your doses. | Refill alerts and doctor and pharmacy records, with Pro. |
| Account and data | An account (email, Apple or Google) so reminders and sharing sync. Medication data is never sold or used for advertising. | Cloud sync across devices with Pro. |
| Platforms | iPhone, iOS 16 and later. Android waitlist open. English, Spanish, German and French. | iPhone, Android and wearables. |
